More than 1,200 concerned Bahamians & fans of the Exumas are demanding action by the government

The proposed dock/inlet will require dredging a significant channel to access. Depth in front of the proposed location is 3 feet roughly 250 feet from the shore and will require dredging through hard bottom and active coral reefs. In addition, significant seabed dredging must occur throughout the rest of the north bay to allow supply ships to access the supply dock/inlet, including dredging through a 15 acre seagrass meadow.
There is significant seagrass and coral reef around the proposed supply dock location and access to proposed marinas and west side residences will require ongoing dredging through recreational sandbars beloved by the community.
The Yntegra project estimates generating one ton of solid waste per day. The supply ships delivering fuel and supplies then hauling away their garbage will travel through a recreational snorkeling, diving and kayaking area directly in front of two resort beaches - creating a truly unsafe environment for anyone in the Exuma community interested in exploring this beautiful underwater environment.

The proposed marina entrance faces east on a barrier island, exposed to wind and tidal action from the open sea, creating a truly hazardous situation for boats and staff.
Barrier Island Residences Exposed to Elements

Barrier island wind and sea forces will batter proposed residences located on a cliff that is regularly overcome with waves during even minor weather events.
Significant Dredging of Recreational Sandbars to Allow Access

The location of the north bay supply dock and residencies proposed for the west side of the island can not be accessed by water without the dredging of significant channels through seabed impacting seagrass meadows, coral reefs and recreational sandbars.
